India Day 2025 at IOCS

On June 6, 2025, the HSE University Institute for Oriental and Classical Studies (IOCS) will host India Day.

India Day has become a tradition at the HSE Faculty of Humanities. In the first half of the day, faculty and students of the Bachelor’s in Indian Languages and Literature will conduct a student conference titled ‘India: Religion: Culture, and Society.’

In the evening, attendees can enjoy an entertaining and informative programme devoted to classical Indian music, dance, and cinema.

The organisers invite bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s students of Russian universities to submit applications to speak on any topics related to South Asian culture, literature, art, philosophy, politics, sociology, anthropology, history, and languages.

The application deadline is May 20 (inclusive). The results of the selection process will be announced on May 25.

Presentations can be delivered in English or Russian and must last 15–20 minutes.
